Position Overview
Nashville Christian School is in a season of intentional growth. The Director of Enrollment will play a pivotal role in expanding our mission-aligned community, strengthening our PK3–12 pipeline, and positioning NCS as the premier Christian school choice in the Greater Nashville area.
The Director of Enrollment serves as the strategic leader of enrollment at Nashville Christian School, guiding all efforts related to recruitment, admissions, financial aid, enrollment, and retention for grades PK3–12. This role is responsible for the full enrollment journey, from a family’s first introduction to NCS through graduation, ensuring that each step reflects who we are as a school. The Director works to build a strong, mission-aligned community of families while supporting the school's long-term health and growth. This position reports directly to the Head of School and works in close partnership with the CFO, Director of Communications, and Heads of Schools.
In the first year, the Director of Enrollment will be expected to: establish baseline enrollment and retention benchmarks, build relationships with feeder schools and community partners, optimize the inquiry-to-enrollment conversion process, and present a multi-year enrollment growth strategy to school leadership.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and execute a comprehensive PK3–12 enrollment strategy
Own enrollment and retention goals across all divisions
Oversee the admissions process from inquiry through enrollment
Partner with the CFO and assistant director to administer and steward a financial aid budget, ensuring awards are aligned with enrollment goals, mission fit, and long-term financial sustainability.
Build strong relationships with prospective families and the broader community.
Lead and develop the enrollment team with clarity and accountability.
Strengthen retention through a consistent and relational family experience.
Utilize data and systems to support strong decision-making and execution.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field required (master’s degree preferred).
Experience in admissions, enrollment, marketing, or a related field, preferably within an independent or Christian school setting.
Strong understanding of enrollment strategy, growth management, and financial aid.
Proficiency with enrollment and student information systems (FACTS/RENWEB) and Google.
Ability to stay current with trends, tools, and innovation in admissions and financial aid, applying them thoughtfully to improve both strategy and experience.
Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with families, faculty, and leadership.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and care.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A self-starter who works with initiative and follow-through, able to meet benchmarks and goals without day-to-day supervision.
Ability to evaluate, create, and refine processes, policies, and procedures to strengthen admissions and financial aid operations.
High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility, including appearance, attitude, and presentation.
Position Expectations
This is a 12-month, full-time position, with a typical work schedule aligned to school hours, generally Monday–Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, including a one-hour lunch break. The Director of Enrollment is expected to maintain a consistent and visible presence on campus throughout the year. Time off generally follows the Nashville Christian School calendar, including school holidays and a modified summer schedule, as determined by school leadership.
Due to the relational and community-facing nature of this role, the schedule will include select evenings and weekends to support admissions events, school programs, and family engagement opportunities.
