Join Our Team as a Highly Skilled Director of Employee Relations and Compliance

We are seeking a talented Director of Employee Relations and Compliance to lead our People & Culture team in enhancing employee morale, ensuring legal compliance, and managing legal claims effectively. This is a fun and rewarding role where you will develop impactful programs, foster positive relationships, and contribute to a loving and respectful work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee the employee relations program, improving policies, procedures, and programs.

Train, hire, and supervise People & Culture staff in compliance and legal claims management.

Ensure adherence to employment laws and collaborate with legal counsel as needed.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with labor unions and negotiate collective bargaining agreements.

Manage and resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and legal claims from intake to closure.

Provide guidance and training on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions.

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Public Administration, or related field; Master’s preferred.

Minimum six years of related experience, including three years in management.

Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent management abilities.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and skilled in data analysis and reporting.

Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity laws and compliance requirements.

Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP.
