Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking to employ a Board Certified/Board Eligible, fellowship-trained Spine Neurosurgeon to join the growing neurosurgery team at JFK University Medical Center in Edison, New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity to become a member of our expanding network and the prestigious JFK Neuroscience Institute. The ideal candidate will possess excellent clinical and surgical skills, strong communication, and a commitment to outstanding patient care within a collaborative, academic-affiliated environment.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive neurosurgical care for patients with a full spectrum of spinal and spinal cord disorders.

Perform both elective and emergent spine surgeries, including minimally invasive techniques, complex spinal reconstruction, and instrumentation.

Manage degenerative conditions, spinal trauma, spinal cord injury, intradural and extradural spinal tumors, and deformities of the cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine.

Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team that includes fellow neurosurgeons, orthopedic spine surgeons, pain management specialists, neurologists, and physiatrists to ensure coordinated patient care.

Participate in a shared call schedule for spine emergencies.

Engage in departmental meetings, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.

Provide teaching and mentorship for neurosurgery residents and medical students.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree from a recognized Medical or Osteopathic School.

Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurosurgery Residency program.

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurosurgery.

Completion of an accredited Spine Surgery Fellowship.

Must have or be eligible for an active New Jersey Medical License, CDS, and DEA.

Compensation
The minimum base salary for this position is $516,627.

In addition, the final compensation and benefits package will be discussed during the interview process.
