
Engineering Technician (Wheat Ridge)

The Role:
The Technician’s primary responsibility is to work with sales associates, fabricators, engineers, and management to configure Bill of Materials (BOMs), quotations, and manufacturing documents for custom fluid system assemblies. The Technician reports to the Assembly and Fabrication Manager.
What you will do:
1.
Technical Quoting & Communication: Collaborate with Sales and Engineering to provide precise labor, material, and lead time quotations. Maintain clear communication with the sales team and customers regarding project status and expectations.
2.
Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Create and maintain accurate, multi-level BOMs within the ERP system (SAP B1). Ensure all components, quantities, and revisions are accurate.
3.
Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in quoting, assembly, and testing processes; implement Lean methodologies to improve safety, throughput, and reduce waste.
4.
Shop Floor Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for assembly technicians, resolving fabrication issues. Responsible for quality processes related to the assembly process.
5.
Testing & Validation: Develop protocols for testing assemblies. Oversee first-article inspections and ensure compliance with AWS welding specs, ISO 9001 standards, and Swagelok requirements.
6.
Quality Control: Evaluate and provide dispositions on quality-related non-conformances and manage safety compliance for all test benches and procedures.
7.
Perform assembly work adhering to strict certification requirements.
8.
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
3+ years in engineering support or a technical manufacturing role.
2+ years working within an ISO 9001, or similar, quality system.
2+ years working with industrial specs (ASME, AWS, Fluid System Principles).
2–5 years of experience with SAP (or similar). Proficiency in BOM and routing creation is required.
Knowledge of CAD and P&ID layouts. While SOLIDWORKS experience is a plus, it is not required.
Excellent communication, strong time management, and a high level of detail orientation.
Physical Requirements:
Must have the ability to lift, push, pull and carry 50lbs or more. Must be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, squatting, and bending throughout shift.
