Strategic Operations Manager (Portland)

RediMinds, Inc, Portland, OR, United States

ABOUT REDIMINDS
Healthcare is entering a period of profound change. Institutions must modernize, reduce friction, improve quality, and make better decisions at scale. RediMinds works at the intersection of AI, clinical expertise, operations, and regulated decision-making to meet that moment.

ABOUT THE COO OFFICE
The COO Office is a small, high-leverage team focused on building RediMinds’ next stage of growth: sustainable revenue streams, innovation product builds, and internal operating systems that help the company scale with quality.

THE ROLE
We are hiring a Strategic Operations Manager who combines the structured thinking of a management consultant with the builder’s instinct of an operator.
You will break down ambiguous problems, manage complex workstreams, create crisp leadership materials, and use modern tools, including AI and lightweight coding, to make the COO Office faster and more effective.

HOW YOU WILL WORK
This role is primarily remote. Because the COO is based in Portland, Oregon, we are looking for someone Portland-based or able to spend meaningful time in Portland for intentional working sessions, onboarding, planning, and key collaboration moments. RediMinds does not currently have a Portland office; in-person time will be scheduled thoughtfully around work that benefits most from being together.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
Drive innovation product builds
Own PMO for two or more innovation product or business line builds.
Translate emerging ideas into clear workplans, milestones, owners, and decision points.
Coordinate across product, engineering, clinical, compliance, and operations teams.
Help move products from concept to prototype to pilot with greater clarity and pace.
Support growth strategy and external trust-building
Conduct market, competitor, policy, customer, and business model research.
Synthesize complex information into clear strategic recommendations.
Support development growth strategy and new opportunity assessment.
Support CEO thought leadership with research, structure, and messaging.
Build internal systems for the COO Office
Create lightweight tools, trackers, dashboards, and workflows that improve execution.
Use AI, no-code, low-code, and basic coding tools to solve internal operating needs.
Turn recurring work into simple, repeatable operating infrastructure.
Create clarity for leadership
Prepare concise PowerPoint decks, memos, briefs, and meeting materials.
Help create operating rhythms that make priorities, ownership, and progress visible.
Bring calm structure to fast-moving, high-ambiguity work.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
3 to 6+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or similar.
Strong structured problem-solving skills and excellent follow-through.
Clear writing, strong verbal communication, and executive-ready presentation skills.
Comfort working with technology teams and technology-enabled products.
Curiosity about AI, automation, internal tooling, and lightweight system-building.
High ownership, good judgment, humility, kindness, and the ability to work independently.
Based in Portland, Oregon, or able to spend meaningful time in Portland.
Strongly preferred
Experience at a top-tier or high-performing consulting firm.
Experience in healthcare, health technology, government services, AI, regulated industries, or complex operations.
Comfort with AI-assisted coding, no-code tools, low-code tools, or basic coding.
Experience building internal tools, dashboards, trackers, or operating systems.
Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
THE PERSON WHO WILL THRIVE HERE
You are structured, curious, and deeply dependable. You can move from strategy to execution without losing quality. You like solving hard problems, creating order from ambiguity, and building systems that make excellent work easier.
You are energized by the chance to help a growing company scale with trust, intelligence, and integrity. You do not need perfect instructions to make progress. You are thoughtful, practical, kind, and serious about doing excellent work.

WHY THIS ROLE MATTERS
You will help build new products, shape new business lines, strengthen RediMinds’ market position, and create the internal systems that allow a fast-growing company to scale without becoming fragile.
For the right person, this is a chance to do unusually meaningful operating work: helping build the company, the systems, and the trusted healthcare infrastructure of the future.
