NOW HIRING FOR THE IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT OF:
Energy Marshal :
The designated Energy Marshal shall oversee high-risk energy activities and work to ensure compliance with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures, authorize first time electrical energizations, and enforce strict safety protocols (e.g., NFPA 70E, OSHA) to protect personnel and equipment in direct coordination with site lead electrical subcontractor. Must have a NFPA certification for Energy Marshal.
Energy Marshal to work with the subcontractors to manage the coordination, implementation, and adherence to Project LOTO Plan. The Energy Marshal will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Completing NFPA 70E training on Electrical Safety Related Work Practices.
Assigning a competent back-up Deputy Energy Marshal.
Reviewing the Electrical Energization Safety Program with the electrical contractor and commissioning authority.
Confirming individuals working on energized / de-energized equipment are Qualified Workers based on NFPA 70E, OSHA, or an accepted qualified electrical safety training standard.
Documenting Qualified Workers certifications in a project log.
Reviewing the LOTO plan and verifying it is accurate and managed properly.
Reviewing electrician and vendor AHA’s.
Daily Roles/Responsibilities:
Reviewal of Site Specific ECP/LOTO Policy .
Monthly LOTO Audits per Policy with NFPA 70E Field Work.
Weekly QA/QC of LOTO Onsite. Per Policy Audit/Review Equipment Log, Personal LOTO Log & LDL Documentation.
Daily Participation/Support in LOTO Activities.
MOP reviewal & Present for MOP Execution with responsible parties.
LOTO Action Plan Review/Present for Execution with responsible parties.
Per complex LOTO Procedures (Daily review of activities onsite)
Pre- Energization Inspection (PEI) & First Time Energizations. (FTE)
Coordinating/Present with Cx (commissioning) Agent & Responsible Parties for PEIs.
Coordinating/Present with Responsible Parties for FTEs.
Daily Participation/Support in LOTO Activities.
Daily/Weekly LOTO Meetings
8am Updated LOTO Log Review w/ Responsible Requesting Parties.
Wednesday 1pm LOTO Sync
Required Qualifications:
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in data center construction, mission-critical environments, or industrial energy control.
Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, including 29 CFR 1910.147 (Control of Hazardous Energy).
Demonstrated experience applying
NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code)
standards in construction or commissioning environments.
OSHA 30-hour Construction certification required.
OSHA 510 (Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction) required.
Proven experience managing LOTO programs in complex, multi-employer worksites.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Experience in data center commissioning or mission-critical facility operations.
NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety in the Workplace) training or certification.
LOTO Authorized/Competent Person certification.
First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong command presence with the ability to enforce safety protocols in high-pressure environments
Advanced understanding of electrical systems, switching procedures, and energy isolation
Exceptional coordination and communication skills across multiple stakeholders
High attention to detail with strict adherence to procedural compliance
Ability to stop work and escalate concerns without hesitation
Strong organizational and documentation skills
