Due to an upcoming retirement, the Credit Union is seeking a strategic and forward-looking leader to serve as

Chief Financial Officer . This role is responsible for leading the organization’s financial strategy and ensuring long-term financial strength, including oversight of financial reporting, forecasting, asset liability management, treasury, and pricing. The CFO will partner closely with the CEO and executive team to provide data-driven insights that inform strategic decision-making, balance risk and growth, and position the organization for continued success. This individual will play a key role in shaping financial direction and supporting future growth through strong financial planning, analytics, capital management, and support of innovation and business initiatives. The CFO will also build and lead a high-performing finance function and serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and Board, delivering clear, credible, and forward-looking financial insight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a member of the Executive Team, participate in strategic and operational planning, keep current with industry trends and issues, and establish performance measurements to monitor compliance with goals and objectives.
Champion modernization that improves efficiencies and effectiveness across all areas of the credit union, with special emphasis on assigned responsibilities.
Take a lead role in evaluating, monitoring, and mitigating major risk areas the credit union faces. This includes policy development, adherence testing and program oversight of all assigned functions and staff. This includes using risk in prudent ways to help the credit union meet its vision and mission.
Establish department goals and objectives that are in line with the organizational strategic plan. Ensure monitoring performance metrics are established and measured.
Lead in preparing, implementing, and supervising an annual operating and capital budget for the organization that is consistent with the credit union’s strategic plan. Track budget on an ongoing basis for adherence.
Build and maintain an appropriate organizational structure for areas of responsibility that support the credit union's needs.
Coach, mentor, and guide staff to maintain effective, productive, and efficient departments. This includes developing a well-thought-out succession plan for critical roles within the areas of responsibility.
Regularly presents to and engages with the Board of Directors, providing insights, updates, and education to support effective governance and decision-making.
Ensure establishment of, effectiveness of, and compliance with internal controls.
Ensure compliance with all safety, security and compliance programs including but not limited to BSA, AML, OFAC, Branch Security and Safety. Exercise awareness in regard to suspicious activity, money laundering or fraudulent behavior.
Perform all other related duties as assigned.

This individual will have a moral fiber, be confident, adaptable, intelligent and possess demonstrated leadership, excellent communication and listening skills, emotional intelligence, and a collaborative approach that embraces continued service excellence and self-improvement. They must have a proven track record of success, a passion for the industry and a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; eight to 10 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Base salary - $245,739-$322,532
