Senior CNC Programmer

Job Title: Senior CNC Programmer Client: Aerospace Industry Location: Newnan, GA 30265 Duration: 6 Months Shift: Monday Friday (8:00 AM 5:00 PM) Job Summary Senior CNC programming role supporting aerospace and gas turbine manufacturing, focused on multi-axis machining, process optimization, and technical leadership. Key Responsibilities Create CNC programs from CAD models and engineering drawings Support production for aerospace and turbine components Work on 3, 4, 5-axis machines, lathes, EDM, and mill/turn equipment Assist in fixture design and tooling selection Validate programs through first article inspection and prototyping Troubleshoot machining issues and improve efficiency/tool life Optimize and revise CNC programs for cycle time and accuracy Develop machining procedures and ensure program control Support design changes, cost improvements, and production challenges Train junior staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams Core Duties CNC programming and toolpath optimization Fixture design and tooling strategy Machining process improvement GDandT interpretation and drawing analysis Quality validation and inspection support Technical documentation and mentoring Work Environment / Role Nature Precision aerospace manufacturing setup Independent role with minimal supervision Strong collaboration with engineering and production teams Focus on efficiency, accuracy, and continuous improvement Required Skills CNC Programming (3/4/5-axis machining) 7 12 years Siemens NX (5-axis milling) 5 years GibbsCAM (turning) 3 5 years Aerospace / Power Generation machining 7 years CAD/CAM and 3D modeling 5 years GDandT and engineering drawings 5 years Process optimization and troubleshooting 5 years Preferred Skills FANUC / Siemens Controls Macro Programming and Probing Aerospace materials (Titanium, Nickel, SS, Aluminum) CMM / Metrology tools Gas turbine manufacturing Airfoil manufacturing FAA PMA / RS-DER compliance Education / Experience A.A.S. in Machining / Machine Tool Technology or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Aerospace Engineering Industry certifications in CNC programming preferred #ZR Safety, Math, CNC Macining
