POSITION SUMMARY

Assist Facilities leadership in maintenance and repairs, and coordinate housekeeping. Purchase shipping and office supplies, process incoming and outgoing mail, support multiple NYC locations, and be available for on‑call coverage. Travel to all NYC locations and use agency cell phone 24/7. Requires ability to work both independently and in a team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and monitor building repair service calls (boiler, sprinkler, standpipes, water heater, chiller, pumps, elevators, packaged AC, HVAC systems).
Assume responsibility for Facilities department in Manager’s absence, log repairs, record issues, and prioritize with Manager using work‑order system.
Escort Facilities vendors visiting NYC sites.
Work with volunteers, trainees and temp agency personnel collaboratively within the Facilities/Support Services team.
Handle receiving, delivering and processing shipments: distribute freight packages from UPS, FedEx, etc.; process overnight and special‑handling packages; maintain logs and paperwork for tracking.
Process all incoming and outgoing mail at PPGNY Corporate Headquarters.
Prepare documents and items for shipping, including shipping labels for third‑party IT vendors.
Prioritize and respond to emergent situations, including outsourcing work when appropriate.
Build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers; demonstrate commitment to exceeding expectations and solving problems.
Wear a PPGNY identifying name tag when working.
QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED.
Minimum 3 years of related experience in facilities support or mail processing.
Remedial computer skills.
Well organized and able to optimize space and equipment while reducing costs.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to use power tools.
Ability to work both in team settings and independently.
Ability to multi‑task.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Continuously talk and hear; frequently sit, stand, walk, reach, grasp.
Use repetitive hand/wrist motions, bend, lift up to 40 lbs (maximum 100 lbs to push), climb ladders, walk up/down stairs.
Vision: close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, focus adjustment.
Must meet Department of Health medical requirements: annual tuberculosis test, COVID‑19 vaccination or exemption, flu vaccination or waiver.
COMPENSATION

$25 per hour.
