Overview

TrustedQA is currently seeking a System Administrator to provide on‑site engineering and cyber security support for the Global Command and Control System Joint (GCCS-J) program. Candidates should have an overall Generalist System Administration background and specifically be confident in virtual machine configuration, management, and troubleshooting. This is a fast paced environment; candidates will be responsible for rapidly and proactively responding to and triaging support requests, and effectively communicating with peers and customers throughout the day. Any deployment or automation experience, including experience with Kubernetes, would be a huge plus.
Basic Qualifications/Requirements

5 or more years of systems administration experience with complex systems comprised of multiple operating systems and databases
Strong comprehension of change management, safe processes, and best practices in an operations oriented environment
Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system: 3+ years; Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Scripting/code comfortably in at least one of the following: Powershell, Bash, Python or comparable
UNIX/DEBIAN operating systems: comfort level in managing primarily RHEL systems
Network competency: Comfortably understands concepts like basic switching and routing, subnetting, VLANS and VRFs, IP addressing, DHCP, firewall rule management
Comptia Security+ (or IAT Level 2 equivalent certification) is required or must be obtained prior to start
Clear competency in basic change management and validation
Can they explain thoroughly with confidence that they know how to plan a change, pre‑test it in isolation, implement it in production, determine the methods to test it and fully validate it, reverting it if necessary, and document it afterward
Active Secret clearance
Current Security+ certification (or ability to obtain one within 30 days)
Preferable

RMF process understanding and exposure to processes
Effective documentation and communication skillset
Ansible or comparable automation tooling experience (They’ve actually used it directly)
Systems imaging lifecycle management (Golden image production and capture, management, remediation, patching, deployment, etc)
Comply 2 Connect Experience (Forescout, Cisco ISE, etc)
Virtualization platforms experience (VMware, Openshift, Proxmox, or equivalent)
Containerization experience (and competency)
Active Directory domain management, LDAP, Single Sign‑on, Keycloak
Network and Server systems hardware lifecycles management (spec, purchase, configure, deploy, maintain, decommission)
Centralized logging solutions experience (ELK Stack, Log aggregation and correlation, Syslog management, etc)
Security/IDS/SIEM systems experience
ACAS/SCAP Scanning and remediation experience
Windows systems imaging and configuration management and associated tooling (MDT, SCCM, Powershell DSC, etc)
PKI Management (Comfortable generating and managing x509 certs and CAC based authentication)
