Facilities Assistant
National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, Warwick, RI, United States
This role is all about using your practical skills and attention to detail to look after a place that people love. We're looking for a Facilities Assistant at Charlecote Park to help keep the whole place in good condition and running smoothly for all the people who visit.
You'll work 30 hours per week over 4 days, including weekends and bank holidays.
For this role, you’ll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
You'll be joining a small team, reporting to the Facilities Manager.
Charlecote Park has been a family home for more than 900 years, was transformed in the 1800s into one of the finest examples of Elizabethan Revival style. It is set in 300 acres of parkland and overlooks the river Avon.
What you'll be doing
You’ll help with the day-to-day presentation of the National Trust’s buildings and outdoor spaces. You’ll be turning your hand to all sorts of cleaning and minor bits of maintenance, making sure that all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter-picking, both inside and outdoors form a core part of this role. You’ll be aiming for the highest standards of customer service, speaking to people as they visit and helping them with any queries. You might also get involved with general maintenance work and helping other teams if they need extra support.
