Lead Operations Proposal Analyst
The role involves leading a team of analysts to develop accurate cost estimates for manufacturing touch labor and ensuring production lead times and capacity are achievable. The analyst partners with program and capture teams, engineering, material cost estimating, and production operations to develop labor cost estimates and Bills of Material (BOM) configurations for operations proposals. Responsibilities also include coordinating labor inputs, developing the BOE, conducting fact‑finding, supporting negotiations, and managing certifications.
Key Responsibilities
Develop labor cost estimates for operations proposals, ensuring high quality and on‐time submissions.
Create SAP BOM configurations used for material and labor estimating.
Gather, validate, and consolidate labor inputs from engineering and production teams.
Prepare, input, and review BOEs; support fact‑finding, negotiations, and proposal certifications.
Provide analytical support for ad‑hoc projects and proposal‑related initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
3+ years of professional experience in proposal development.
Proven ability to analyze and present data vertically and horizontally across functions.
Strong organizational, prioritization, and deadline‑driven work habits.
Working knowledge of Bills of Materials and basic cost estimating concepts.
Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to structure large data sets.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, data visualization).
Hands‑on experience with SAP (configuration or data entry).
Experience working with master scheduling group to analyze lead times and capacity.
Demonstrated leadership ability, including training new team members.
U.S. citizenship required.
Desired Skills
Direct manufacturing environment experience.
Broad BOE development experience.
Familiarity with Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) processes.
Demonstrated leadership ability.
Experience with system transitions or 1LMX engagement.
Problem‑solving ability (identifying problems and developing and implementing solutions).
Ability to prioritize tasks, work independently, assume ownership, and drive projects to completion.
