Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a
Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE)
to support advanced aerospace and defense initiatives in
Seattle, WA . This role will contribute to the development of complex, highly integrated systems with a focus on digital engineering and autonomy, supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
Responsibilities for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:
Support MBSE implementation and digital engineering strategy across system development programs
Work with engineering teams to support system design, modeling, and integration efforts
Perform requirements analysis, system architecture development, and trade studies
Develop and maintain SysML models using tools such as Cameo/MSOSA
Support verification, validation, and test planning activities
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment with program requirements and delivery timelines
Qualifications for the Model-Based Systems Engineer include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field
5+ years of relevant engineering experience (or 3+ years with Master’s)
Experience with
MBSE tools (Cameo, MagicDraw) and SysML modeling
Understanding of
systems engineering processes and lifecycle methodologies
Strong analytical and communication skills
Previous Experience with
Avionics
Preferred
Active Secret Clearance required
Compensation for the Model-Based Systems Engineer includes:
Salary Range: $120,000 – $170,000 depending on experience
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, and Sick Leave as required by law
