Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Nursing Manager to oversee clinical nursing operations within our substance use disorder (SUD) programs, including detoxification and residential treatment services. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, and effective team management in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and oversight to nursing staff across detox and residential programs
Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care
Supervise, train, and mentor nursing team members, including performance management
Coordinate staffing schedules and ensure appropriate coverage, including on-call support
Collaborate with medical providers, therapists, and leadership to support treatment planning and patient outcomes
Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and accreditation standards
Monitor and improve clinical workflows, documentation, and quality assurance processes
Participate in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development
Respond to clinical issues and emergencies as needed
Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland (or eligible for endorsement)
Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing experience, with at least 1–2 years in a leadership or management role
Direct experience in substance use disorder treatment, including detox and residential settings required
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in behavioral health/SUD treatment
Ability to work full-time day shift with flexibility for on-call responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher
Prior experience in a supervisory or program management role within behavioral health
Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
