Pay Range: $98,000 - $138,000/yr.
Position Introduction/Key Duties
Cimarron is seeking a mid-level project manager to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in the Colorado Springs, CO area.
Key Duties
Create and maintain project documentation and plans, to include project timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential project challenges.
Establish project governance and communication protocols.
Guide and support the team in its adoption of Agile methodologies, facilitating a smooth transition and fostering an Agile mindset.
Lead and manage project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and performance feedback.
Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, ensuring clear communication and action items.
Monitor project progress and performance against plan, identifying and addressing deviations.
Create, manage, and update detailed project schedules.
Track project budget and expenditures, ensuring adherence to financial guidelines.
Manage project risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Utilize project management tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) to effectively manage projects.
Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders on a regular basis.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
Partner with matrixed resources to deliver results according to customer expectations and manage resources between functional teams to support shared resource needs.
Ensure project deliverables are completed and meet quality standards.
Conduct project closure activities, including documentation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder sign-off.
Evaluate project performance and identify lessons learned for future projects.
Prepare and present project reports to management.
Financial Management: Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to project execution and serve as a Cost Account Manager (CAM).
Mentor and coach teams on project management principles and best practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and team empowerment.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education
Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time.

7 or more years of general (full-time) work experience.
5 or more years of direct experience in project life cycle management in a dynamic environment, managing multiple projects concurrently.
Experience creating, managing, and updating detailed schedules.
Comfortable interacting with various levels of internal and external customers, including senior leadership and government partners.
Experience leading project planning.
Experience identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education
PMP Certification.
Experience in IT project management
Have Earned Value Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience.
Experience managing resources between functional teams while supporting shared resource needs.
Have an understanding of Agile Methodologies.
