Job Description
Job Summary:
Performs all phases of operation and maintenance duties as directed by the Maintenance Leads, Assistant Director of Maintenance and Director of Operations and Maintenance.
3rd Shift Hours:
10:30 pm to 6:30 am
Job Responsibilities:
Diagnose and make repairs on any mechanical equipment within the School district.
Construct shelves, cabinets, etc., and repair desks, tables and chairs.
Inspect and repair or replace plumbing, piping, fixtures, traps, valves, gauges, pumps, coils, gaskets and other related work.
Make minor electrical installations and repairs.
Respond to any emergency calls.
Perform maintenance on air conditioning and heating equipment.
Perform minor repairs to roofs as needed.
Perform all work incidental to construction of small structures or minor remodeling of buildings.
Perform work on preventive maintenance on controls, and any other equipment; also, energy conservation work.
Perform projects as needed.
Be responsible for keeping parking lots and sidewalks clear of snow.
Keep tools and mechanical equipment owned by the district in clean condition and good repair.
Report all injuries and accidents directly to Leads or Director Maintenance.
Erect or replace signage as needed.
Maintain all work order and inventory records in an accurate manner.
Operate all equipment in a safe manner.
Accountable for minor maintenance, daily safety inspection and cleanliness of vehicles.
Snow plow and maintain and repair vehicles in the motor pool.
Perform carpentry tasks as needed.
Perform repairs to classroom tables, desks and chairs.
Repair doors or windows - replace doors or windows as needed.
Repair ceilings as needed.

Minimum Requirements
Ability to deal with the public tactfully and courteously
Must be in good health and in good physical condition
Have knowledge of small machines, repair and maintenance including their care
Must obtain a class C or higher driver's license
Be able to make repairs to any building or equipment within a building
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel materials. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
