Interim HR Generalist
will serve as a key support partner to the HR Manager, focusing on compliance, HR operations, and data integrity across the organization. This role will prioritize organizing HR documentation, supporting internal audits, and ensuring alignment across HRIS, payroll, and benefits processes. This consultant will take a hands‑on approach to projects and help support broader HR infrastructure improvements as capacity allows.
Worksite Location:
Onsite - Eden Prairie, MN
Salary Range:
Hourly rate between $35-$45, DOE

Roles & Responsibilities
Support HR file management and consolidation into a structured digital repository
Ensure personnel, payroll, and I-9 documentation is accurate, complete, and properly maintained
Assist with I-9 audits and employment verification process standardization
Support payroll and benefits audits, including reconciliation of discrepancies
Partner with Accounting to resolve payroll and benefits-related issues
Review and validate employee data across HRIS, payroll, and organizational records
Assist with multi-state compliance and policy alignment
Support development and tracking of required safety and regulatory training
Help implement consistent documentation practices, naming conventions, and workflows
Contribute to HR process documentation and operational improvements as capacity allows
Required Skills & Experience
Proven HR Generalist experience with strong focus on compliance and HR operations
Experience supporting HR audits (I-9, payroll, benefits, employee records)
Strong attention to detail with ability to identify discrepancies and ensure data accuracy
Experience working in multi-state environments with compliance considerations
Proficiency in HRIS systems and Excel for data validation and reporting
Strong organizational and documentation skills
Ability to work independently and support a lean HR function
Experience with Paychex or similar payroll systems is a plus
