Position Summary: Utica University, a small comprehensive university in Upstate New York, is seeking a non‑tenure track professor of practice in Construction Management beginning January 1, 2026. We seek a motivated individual with dedication to teaching and service, capable of delivering high‑quality education to students in the Construction Management program. The program offers a new building with state‑of‑the‑art laboratory space, computer labs, and classrooms, and fosters a culture of camaraderie among faculty, students, alumni, and industry partners.

Major Responsibilities

Teach courses in a broad range of areas, including Documents and Specifications, Estimating, Planning and Scheduling, Mechanical & Electrical Systems, Statics and Strengths of Materials, Building Information Modeling, and Project Management and Safety.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in a construction discipline.

Dedication to teaching and demonstrated teaching skills.

Relevant industry experience in the U.S.

Record of successful undergraduate teaching experience.

Preferred Qualifications

An earned doctorate in Construction Management or a related field.

Experience with outcome‑based assessment of student learning outcomes.

Experience in a construction management firm with all aspects of construction project delivery.
