Community Relations Coordinator

Our client, a leader in Commerical Roofing, is seeking a Community Relations Coordinator to join their team. As a Community Relations Coordinator, you will be part of the Community Engagement Department supporting local community initiatives and stakeholder relations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a strong commitment to fostering positive community relationships, which will align successfully in the organization.

$50.00 - $60.00/hour

Shift:

Monday - Friday, 15-25 hours/week (Flexible Hours)

What's the Job?

Serve as the primary contact for community organizations, neighborhood groups, and residents, including intake, coordination, and follow-up on concerns.

Coordinate community efforts with internal communications, legal, and government affairs teams to ensure consistent messaging.

Work closely with management and consultants to develop appropriate responses to community concerns, documenting actions taken and closing the loop with stakeholders.

Identify organizations, causes, programs, and events to support through grants, sponsorships, and employee volunteer initiatives.

Represent the organization at community events, boards, and committees, fostering positive relationships and engagement.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in community relations, communications, nonprofit engagement, or public affairs.

3-5 years of experience in roles involving issue management and stakeholder engagement.

Strong self-starter with sound judgment in sensitive or high-visibility situations.

Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Ability to manage budgets and prioritize resources based on risk and impact; familiarity with social media and neighborhood associations is preferred.
