Bemidji Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to support students' emotional, social, and academic success at Bemidji Middle School.
Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance to students at risk.
Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans to support student well‑being.
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create strategies that promote a positive school climate.
Participate in IEP/504 meetings and provide input on behavioral and emotional needs. Identify resources as available.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with district policies and applicable laws.
Respond to crises and provide support in emergency situations.
Collaborate with community youth-serving agencies to address student needs.
Collaborate with administration and special education teachers to meet the needs of special education students.
Qualifications
Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Knowledge of child development, trauma‑informed practices, and educational systems.
