Job Description
The Material Expediter is responsible for identifying and providing all parts and supplies required for all repair and overhaul programs while maintaining a comprehensive logistics program to support all of Material Handling Equipment/Shipboard Mobile Support Equipment (MHE/SMSE).
Job Requirements / Skill Sets
Responsible to procure all necessary parts and supplies from authorized vendors as required by various technical manuals.
[8] years’ experience in Navy supply system and requisition field HAZMAT Ordering tool and FED-MALL.
Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license for delivery to vendors and the operation of MHE as required.
Document and maintain inventory of pre-expended bins of various consumable items, to include hazardous materials and spill containment materials.
Responsible for adding and deleting standard inventory composition for the restock of consumable inventory, e.g.: 12v batteries, filters, tires, etc.…
Ensure all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) records are on file and available to mechanics, as required.
Develop and maintain detailed spreadsheets for tracking outstanding parts orders and inventory controls.
Education Requirements
High school degree or higher
Security Clearance / Naval Facility Access
U.S. citizenship required. Must be able to access military facilities, naval shipyards, and private shipyards.
