In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:## Job Title:Assistant Dean of Accreditation, CQI and Special Projects## Department:Medicine | Biomedical Education and Anatomy-Administration**Position Overview**The assistant dean of accreditation, CQI and special projects will provide leadership for the programmatic review and strategic plan for the medical education program at OSUCOM. As a member of the senior leader medical education team, the assistant dean will report to the Vice Dean of Education and will provide leadership within the medical school to ensure LCME accreditation standards are monitored for compliance, working collaboratively with other leaders through the college and the evaluation and assessment team to ensure a through systematic program evaluation and a comprehensive medical student assessment plan. Will also participate in institutional accreditation as appropriate.**Performance Objectives*** Directs the development, implementation, and evaluation of accreditation processes to ensure compliance with accreditation standards for the undergraduate medical education (UME) program.* Facilitates UME self-studies for accreditation purposes; prepares annual profiles and other reports as requested by UME accrediting agency* Responsible for accreditation gap analysis and assisting leadership in developing CQI action plans.* Work collaboratively with leadership to ensure that all aspects of evaluation of the medical education program, including planning, data collection, analysis, and interpretation, as well as activities related to preparation and dissemination of program evaluation data reports meet LCME and Institutional Accreditation needs.* Oversee all aspects of continuous quality improvement (CQI) processes for the MD program, including collaboration with stakeholders to ensure evaluation methods are in place to measure program outcomes and to monitor CQI, ensuring compliance across all LCME accreditation standards.* Collaborate with stakeholders in managing course/clerkship reviews and phase/whole curriculum reviews.* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure committees have clear and standardized charges and procedures* Develops and assists in developing and maintaining operating policies and procedures to comply with regulations, institutional policies, and unit objectives. Maintains a regular cycle of policy review and ensures that policies have clear and standardized format* Engage with students and work with leadership to ensure improvement processes are implemented and communicated.* Collaborate with stakeholders, including data analytics and information technology, to ensure quality and efficiency of evaluation processes necessary for accreditation* Ensure accreditation requirements are incorporated into ongoing institutional operations and procedures, and into the planning and evaluation process of degree programs, including appropriate budget allocations* Provides project management, including presentation preparation, for special projects related to the education mission of the institution as determined by the Vice Dean.* Oversees implementation of and follow-up/CQI in strategic planning for the units falling under the Vice Dean of Education* May prepare or participate in the preparation of abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation for Medical Education Research Projects.* Serve on relevant committees as needed and assigned.* Develops and maintains a budget and monitors expenditures related to accreditation and CQI.* Perform other duties as assigned.***Communication and Influence**** Influences others outside of own department regarding policies, practices and procedures and within the function of the role.
