Sub‑Same Day (SSD) Engineering is searching for an innovative and solutions‑oriented Sr. Operations Engineer to lead process standardization and manage documentation and reviews. An Operations Engineer’s goal is to provide transparent and collaborative support to our internal customers, helping them overcome barriers, and achieve their goals. We strive to introduce effective solutions to address organizational challenges and consistently challenge our own assumptions to drive consistency across initiatives.
Operations Engineers value their direct relationship with stakeholders and customers and ensure that all requests are evaluated and prioritized based on data‑driven analysis aligned with strategic business directives. We also provide transparency in the decision‑making process and encourage input and approval from cross‑functional teams across NASC Engineering. We keep our customers updated on the status of their requests, provide clear directions on the next steps, and explain why requests are approved or declined.

Key job responsibilities
Create and maintain standard processes and documentation
Lead meetings, while ensuring the team is tracking to their deliverables
Provide insight and identify risks for business decisions
Establish and maintain scalable program management practices that balance efficiency with appropriate oversight
Create and implement Strategic Programs (SP) mental model, framework, and charter for the organization
Gate‑keep all internal and external requests and support the team in prioritizing the requests that are taken on
Report project status updates to the SSD & NASC Engineering Director and cross‑functional leadership
Effective communication skills, with the ability to execute the team vision
A day in the life
You will partner with engineering verticals within and across the org in consistently delivering high standard outputs bringing cadenced visibility to team’s accomplishments, goals and initiatives progress, risks and opportunities, and when leadership decisions are required. Your role involves synthesizing complex information for executive‑level reviews while maintaining clear communication channels to keep all stakeholders informed of new strategies and impacts.
You will identify areas of innovation and need for business strategies that deliver measurable organizational impact. Your strategy charters will propose and drive new initiatives across the organization. Working independently benchmarking industry leading‑edge technologies and automations, you will compare and evaluate the need for strategies to fast track innovation and new product requirements.
You will work closely with planning, engineering, business intelligence, program and central teams to develop data‑driven insights and metrics that guide strategic decision‑making. The ideal candidate is well‑organized, expert in planning, ability to facilitate senior leadership reviews and decisions effectively, turn feedback into programmatic improvements.
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
5+ years of Reliability Program Manager experience
5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non‑automated material handling equipment
Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, management, or technology
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in engineering, mechanical, operations, supply chain, business administration, or equivalent STEM field
Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools
The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
