Jamf & Modern Device Management Administrator

What success looks like in this role:

Jamf& MDM Administration
Administer and maintainJamfPro orJamfCloud for macOS, iOS, and iPadOS device management across the enterprise

Provides white glove support onsite to the client (5 days a week)

Manage device enrollment workflows including Automated Device Enrollment (ADE) via Apple Business Manager (ABM)

Create andmaintainconfiguration profiles, compliance policies, and smart/static groups inJamf

Package and deploy macOS applications usingJamfpolicies andSelf Servicecatalog

Monitor policy deployment success, client health, and inventory accuracy within theJamfconsole

Support patch management processes tomaintainsoftware currency and security compliance across Apple devices

Engineering & Operations
Assistin the design and implementation of endpoint management improvements and modernization initiatives

Write andmaintainBash or Python scripts to automate routine endpoint administration tasks

Support integration ofJamfwith cloud identity providers including Entra ID (Azure AD) or Okta

Work with security teams to implement and maintain macOS hardening baselines and endpoint protection tools

Troubleshoot complex macOS, iOS, andJamf-related issues, serving as a Tier 2/3 escalation resource

Support & Collaboration
Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for Apple device issues escalated from the help desk

Document configurations, procedures, and known issues to build andmaintainteam knowledge base

Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and identity teams on cross-functional endpoint initiatives

Support device lifecycle management from provisioning through retirement including asset tracking

Assistwith onboarding new Apple hardware including imaging, enrollment, and user setup

You will be successful in this role if you have:
3+ years of hands-on experience managing Apple macOS and/or iOS devices in a corporate or enterprise environment

2+ years of directJamfPro administration experience including policies, profiles, smart groups, and patch management

Working knowledge of Apple Business Manager (ABM) and Automated Device Enrollment (ADE)

Basic to intermediate scripting ability in Bash and/or Python for endpoint automation

Familiarity with macOS system architecture, file system, and command-line troubleshooting

Understanding of MDM concepts including configuration profiles, compliance policies, and device enrollment methods

Experience working in a ticketing/ITSM environment such as ServiceNow or Jira

Preferred Qualifications

JamfCertified Tech (JAMF CCT) certification or actively working toward it

Experience withJamfConnect for cloud identity-based authentication on macOS

Exposure to Microsoft Intune or co-managed (Mac + Windows) endpoint environments

Familiarity with endpoint security tools such as CrowdStrike Falcon or Microsoft Defender on macOS

Experience with Apple zero-touch provisioning viaPreStageenrollments

Exposure to cloud identity platforms including Entra ID (Azure AD) or Okta

MUST:

Be willing to be onsite 5 days a week in Los Angeles, CA
Have 3+ years of experience
