Position Overview
We are seeking an on-site
Medical Staff Office & Credentialing Coordinator
to manage credentialing and privileging for two affiliated critical access hospitals. This role ensures total compliance with CMS and Joint Commission standards while serving as a primary liaison between medical staff, administration, and hospital boards.
Schedule & Location Details
Location:
On-site (New Hampshire). This role supports two affiliated sites; candidates must have their own vehicle for travel between locations as needed.
Orientation:
0 hours non-billable (all orientation hours are billable).
Call/Charge:
Not applicable.
Role Responsibilities
Credentialing & Privileging:
Manage initial and reappointment processes for medical staff and allied health professionals. Verify licensure, board certifications, and work history.
Administration:
Coordinate Medical Staff, Department, and Committee meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation.
Compliance:
Maintain records for peer review (OPPE/FPPE) and ensure readiness for regulatory surveys and audits.
Onboarding & Enrollment:
Support payor enrollment, facilitate provider onboarding, and coordinate medical student rotations.
System Liaison:
Facilitate communication between hospital systems to align credentialing and governance standards.
Requirements
Experience:
Minimum 2+ years of current medical credentialing and Medical Staff Office experience.
Knowledge:
Proficiency in medical terminology and regulatory standards (CMS/Joint Commission).
Tech Skills:
Proficiency with credentialing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Education:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field (Preferred).
Certifications:
CPCS or CPMSM certification (Preferred—must be in-hand if held).
Travel:
Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
