
Data Center Facilities Lead Technician (On-Site)

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Maintenance
Perform routine rounds and inspections of all facility equipment across both locations
Operate, maintain, and repair:
Electrical systems (utility power, UPS, generators, ATS, switchgear)
Mechanical systems (chillers, cooling towers, pumps)
HVAC systems (computer room and office air handlers)
Troubleshoot and repair facility systems, infrastructure, and grounds
Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance for all critical equipment
Monitor and manage systems through the Building Automation System (BAS)
Projects & Vendor Coordination
Supervise electrical, mechanical, and HVAC contractors
Support testing and commissioning of new and upgraded equipment
Assist with BAS integration, controls, and programming (Modbus, BACnet, etc.)
Support capital and O&M projects, including planning and execution
Facility & Customer Support
Install and disconnect electrical power connections for equipment and customers
Perform raised floor modifications and repairs (cut-outs, tile replacement)
Respond to general facility service requests (offices, common areas, etc.)
Qualifications
Experience
10+ years of experience in a data center or critical facilities environment
Strong hands-on experience with:
Electrical distribution systems, switchgear, generators, and UPS systems
Automatic transfer switches, PDUs, and static switch systems
HVAC systems, including large-scale chillers and cooling infrastructure
Proven experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems
Experience working with Building Automation Systems, including system integration and controls
Experience leading contractors and supporting facility projects
Education
Associate’s degree OR high school diploma with technical training in electrical, mechanical, or refrigeration systems
Certifications (Preferred)
BOMA Certification
Texas Electrical Maintenance License
Refrigeration License or Certification
Work Environment & Schedule
Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
On-call rotation required (nights, weekends, emergencies)
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Work performed indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
