Field Operator III – Production
Compensation: $55.30/hr
Location: Spring, TX – Vantage Group
Schedule: 14/14
Target Start Date: ASAP
Main Functions
Operate equipment and wells by applying operating and safety procedures and guidelines to meet daily operational plans, reduce equipment failure, and ensure efficient resource utilization.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Execute daily work objectives with focus on safety, housekeeping, and operational excellence
Participate in daily toolbox talks and safety meetings
Monitor wells and equipment; identify and implement corrective and optimization actions
Perform basic maintenance activities as part of Equipment Care Technician responsibilities
Report alarms, emergencies, or ESD system outages immediately
Provide accurate and detailed shift handovers to ensure operational continuity
Coordinate and monitor maintenance work (corrective, predictive, preventive)
Maintain detailed logbook entries for all operational events and abnormalities
Collect product samples and perform field lab testing
Participate in emergency response activities
Report incidents per internal guidelines and elevate as required
Communicate effectively with Operations Shift Supervisor regarding activities and issues
Support team communication to ensure issues are addressed promptly
Diagnose well performance issues and provide accurate production data
Ensure thorough diagnostics prior to requesting Wellwork intervention
Verify wellhead and surface equipment readiness before Wellwork operations
Support Wellwork operations as needed
Qualifications
Completed secondary education; prior experience as a Field Technician required
Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
Strong safety mindset (SSHE) with ability to influence others
Extensive experience in pipeline and production operations
Knowledge of operations management systems and tools
Familiar with Emergency Response procedures
Understanding of project philosophy and design specifications
Knowledge of applicable regulations and commercial agreements
Additional Notes
Oil & Gas Production experience required
Control Room experience preferred
