Job Title
Instrument and Electrical Technician III
Compensation:
$75/hr
Location:
Spring, TX – Vantage Group
Schedule:
7/7 to start, transitioning to 14/14

Scope
Main Functions:
Installs, maintains, tests, and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems supporting production equipment. Ensures compliance with all safety standards, operational procedures, and performance expectations. Evaluates systems, develops repair strategies, and documents all findings and actions.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and oversee electrical and instrumentation activities in accordance with company standards, regulations, and procedures
Maintain strong focus on health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance
Collaborate with operations, engineering, and project teams to support overall facility performance
Review and provide input on electrical and control system specifications and work practices
Execute work under Permit to Work System (PTWS) requirements
Ensure timely and high-quality execution of maintenance activities
Support and mentor technicians; provide technical troubleshooting guidance
Participate in and lead technical meetings and knowledge-sharing sessions
Maintain clear communication regarding electrical and control system issues
Support work prioritization to align with broader operational goals
Generate and manage Management of Change (MOC) requests for electrical/control systems
Inspect and validate new installations for compliance and performance
Recommend system upgrades and improvements where needed
Act as stand-in for I&E Lead when required
Skills & Qualifications
Required:
Associate’s degree and/or technical certifications
Strong experience in electrical and instrumentation systems within oil & gas processing or production environments
Technical Requirements
Core Knowledge:
Oil & gas facility regulations and compliance standards
OIMS (Operations Integrity Management System) familiarity
Work management and maintenance programs
Electrical Focus:
Mid to high voltage experience:
480V systems
13.8kV systems
Instrumentation and control systems troubleshooting and maintenance
General Competencies
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
High attention to detail
Effective communication and reporting skills
Strong organizational ability
Safety-focused mindset
Additional Notes
Strong I&E background required
Heavy emphasis on electrical skillset
