Opportunity Overview
Are you ready to elevate your career in manufacturing operations and be a part of creating the world's best desserts? Our team in Aurora, CO is looking for an Operator I. This position is responsible for the safe operation of different baking machinery and is required to provide consistent quality, following the formula(s) and procedures established by the company without deviation. This position is also responsible for understanding related Quality Management Systems including SQF, HACCP, and GMP to ensure safety and quality of employees and products. The job duties include responsibility for assuring food safety and for food quality for Dessert Holdings products. A supervisor or other person of authority should be notified if any issues or threats to food safety or food quality are observed.
What you'll do everyday
Operate mixing, baking and decorating machinery in a safe and efficient manner.
Maintain production supplies at the prescribed levels so that the line does not shut down for lack of product.
Perform assignments in accordance with established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) policies and procedures.
Read all product formulas, temperatures, and times according to Building of Materials (BOM).
Coordinate with Production Leads as to product flow for the mixing of batches.
Perform assignments in accordance with specifications, instructions and requirements.
Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
Ensure that work ethic provides a positive influence on the production floor.
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space.
Follow production dress code standards and maintain good personal hygiene.
Report all production waste to Production Lead or Supervisor.
Responsible for food safety and food quality throughout production.
Responsible for notifying a Production Lead when they step off the line to ensure food safety and food quality standards are maintained.
Perform other duties as required by Supervisor.
Understand the management of Quality Systems and be familiar with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices which help ensure safety within the workplace and the production of a safe and quality product(s).
Will perform other duties as required by supervisor.
What we're looking for
Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible schedule.
Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
Must be able to read and write in either English or Spanish.
Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
Demonstrates good verbal communication skills.
Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment requiring strict work/safety rules 100% of the time.
