Job Description
We're hiring a Safety Trainer to lead and expand our in‑house training programs on a 1099 contractor basis. This position is ideal for an experienced safety professional who can teach, coach, and uphold the highest standards of regulatory compliance. Applications close at the end of this month.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of safety training experience (construction or heavy civil industries preferred)
Required: OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 certifications
Strong working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 standards and their real-world application
Deep understanding of hazard recognition, root cause analysis, and documentation for compliance
Ability to interpret and apply OSHA standards during audits, inspections, and classroom instruction
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and basic digital recordkeeping systems
Responsibilities
Deliver OSHA‑authorized and company‑specific safety training
Develop and manage Red River Safety's training curriculum
Conduct field safety coaching, inspections, and hazard recognition walkthroughs
Support company and client compliance efforts through documentation and audits
Represent Red River Safety during client meetings, audits, and regulatory inspections
Assist in continuous improvement of internal training and compliance systems
Compensation & Contract Details
Instruction Day $500
Travel Day $250 (1 per week)
Per Diem $175.00 (Not Included for Travel Day)
Mileage $0.75 (to Abeline, Texas)
Payment terms Net 15
