Job Overview
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Low Voltage Foreman to lead and oversee field operations for commercial low voltage projects. This role requires strong hands‑on technical expertise across systems such as CCTV, access control, structured cabling, AV, and networking, along with proven leadership experience managing crews in the field.
The Senior Foreman is responsible for executing projects safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications, while coordinating with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Location:
Newark, NJ
Schedule:
Full‑time – In‑person (Flexibility required to meet project demands, including occasional overtime and off‑hours work)
Salary:
$40‑50 (DOE)

Responsibilities
Field Leadership & Execution
Lead, supervise, and mentor field technicians and installers on job sites
Execute installations of low voltage systems, ensuring adherence to design and specifications
Delegate tasks effectively and ensure productivity and quality standards are met
Project Coordination
Collaborate effectively to ensure alignment on schedules, scope, and deliverables
Coordinate daily field activities, manpower, and material needs
Provide regular updates on project progress, timelines, and solutions for challenges
Technical Expertise
Install, test, and troubleshoot low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, cabling infrastructure, AV, and networking
Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Ensure installations meet industry standards and client requirements
Quality & Safety
Enforce company safety policies and OSHA regulations on all job sites
Conduct site safety checks and ensure proper use of tools and equipment
Maintain high‑quality workmanship and ensure installations pass inspections
Documentation & Reporting
Track daily work logs, material usage, and field reports
Assist with as‑built documentation and project closeout requirements
Identify and communicate change orders or scope deviations
Qualifications:
Experience
5+ years of hands‑on experience in the Low Voltage industry
Proven experience leading crews on commercial job sites as a Foreman or Lead Technician
Technical Knowledge
Strong expertise in low voltage systems including CCTV, access control, structured cabling, AV, and networking
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and riser diagrams
Leadership Skills
Ability to lead, motivate, and manage field teams effectively
Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities in fast‑paced environments
Communication Skills
Clear communication with project managers, clients, and team members
Ability to provide accurate field updates and reports
Soft Skills
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing job site conditions
Strong work ethic and commitment to quality and safety
