Production Tunnel Operator Position – 6 AM to 2:30 PM, M-F

Job Description
Vestis® is looking for a Production Tunnel Operator to work in an industrial laundry facility handling merchandise in and out of the facility safely, expeditiously, and accurately.
Responsibilities / Essential Functions
Prepares the work station.
Transfers hangers from the hanger rack to the shirt or pant hanging aid.
For shirts, flips the hanger onto the hanger aid, removes the shirt from the tub or table, and dresses the shirt on the hanger, pulling sleeves out if needed.
For pants, removes the pants from the tub or table, grasps the zipper end while stretching the waistband, applies a brisk shake to allow the crease to fall in place, lays the pants over the hanger aid, advances the hanger up to the slotted area, and removes the pants from the hanging aid.
Identifies merchandise that does not meet quality standards and applies a twist tie to the hanger of the item needing repair.
Ensures the garment is placed on an open conveyor pick.
Maintains a safe, clean work environment and follows best practices in all production activities.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
Ability to understand and follow required training, written and verbal instructions.
Basic math skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to meet the attendance schedule.
Physical Requirements
Position involves repetitive motions during the entire shift.
Requires bending, reaching, pulling, twisting, and lifting.
Requires use of hands for grasping and manipulations.
Requires standing and walking for long periods.
Education
High school degree or equivalent preferred.
