
Master Scheduler

Master Scheduler - 1 to 2 month contract in Fort Collins, CO
Pay = $2500/week
Key Responsibilities
Convert customer demand, forecasts, and backlog into a realistic, time‑phased master production schedule.
Maintain a clear line of sight between demand signals and executable production plans.
Identify demand volatility, risks, and tradeoffs and proactively surface them to operations leadership.
Develop and maintain a rolling master schedule that balances service, capacity, labor, and materials.
Establish and enforce planning time fences, schedule adherence expectations, and change‑control discipline.
Minimize schedule churn while enabling controlled, value‑based exceptions.
Align production plans with available labor, equipment, and key process constraints.
Partner with Operations and Engineering to assess capacity gaps, bottlenecks, and recovery options.
Support scenario planning for demand changes, shortages, or operational disruptions.
Collaborate with Purchasing and Buyers to ensure material plans are aligned to the master schedule.
Drive inventory health by balancing service levels, lead times, stocking strategies, and working capital.
Actively manage material risks that threaten schedule attainment or customer delivery.
Track and report schedule adherence, plan stability, recovery performance, and key planning KPIs.
Participate in daily and weekly operating rhythms to ensure rapid issue identification and escalation.
Drive root cause understanding when performance deviates from plan.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in production planning, master scheduling, or supply chain planning in a manufacturing environment.
Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, lead times, BOMs, routings, and capacity planning.
Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and make data‑driven tradeoffs.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in engineered‑to‑order or mixed‑model manufacturing environments.
Exposure to S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes.
Advanced Excel and planning analytics capability.
