Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Procurement Contract Specialist at Worley, you will play a key role in supporting our purpose of delivering a more sustainable world. You will provide procurement and contract administration expertise across critical energy, chemicals, and resources projects that span the transition to low‑carbon solutions while maintaining the reliability of essential services. With a deep understanding of supplier management and contract negotiations, you will help drive project success through reliable service delivery and collaborative stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the sourcing and administration of consultant, specialty, and construction service subcontracts to support engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) project execution.
Identify and select reliable contractors to meet project and client requirements, aligned with Worley’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and performance.
Prepare and negotiate subcontract terms and conditions to ensure clarity, compliance, and successful delivery of services.
Administer contract documentation and ensure full execution and compliance with all project and corporate requirements.
Collaborate with project managers, technical teams, and client representatives to align procurement activities with scope, schedule, and sustainability objectives.
Monitor subcontractor performance, including cost, schedule, safety, and quality compliance, and manage change orders and dispute resolution as needed.
Provide timely approvals, documentation, and support for contractor invoice processing to maintain seamless service delivery.
Serve as a senior advisor to internal stakeholders, providing guidance and leadership on procurement strategy, risk mitigation, and process improvement.
Foster positive working relationships with subcontractors and vendors, ensuring effective communication and performance feedback.
Stay current with industry best practices, tools, and systems, contributing to continuous improvement in procurement and contracting processes.
Qualifications / Skill Set
Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
Demonstrated success in procurement and contract administration within engineering, environmental, or construction project environments.
Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus across internal and external stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of subcontract terms, commercial compliance, and risk management principles.
Experience leading project procurement efforts and managing subcontractor relationships through the full lifecycle of a project.
Proficient in procurement systems, document management tools, and reporting platforms.
A collaborative mindset with a commitment to safety, sustainability, and ethical business practices.
Self‑directed with the ability to prioritize workload, manage competing deadlines, and deliver results with minimal oversight.
Willingness to travel to supplier or project locations, as required, to support project execution.
