Responsibilities
At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, the Program Security Associate is part of the team that ensures secure development, production, and deployment of the F‑35 program and related Special Access Programs. The role is based at MCAS Cherry Point, NC and focuses on supporting security efforts for the F‑35 program, including:
Controlling and managing unclassified and classified material.
Providing physical security for multiple Special Access Program Facilities.
Controlling access and badging to all F‑35 areas in specified facilities.
Providing escort services and assisting in planning and execution of security operations and procedures related to SAP facilities.
Supporting classified meetings and providing security briefings as necessary.
Managing personnel files, including visitor access requests, program access requests, and file reviews.
Performing additional security duties and supporting other SAP facilities as needed.
Schedule: Primarily first shift; may require flexibility to work other shifts, including weekends. Occasional business travel, including deployment and detachment support, may be required.
Qualifications
Current SECRET security clearance with an investigation within 5 years from the investigation closed date and confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs.
Ability to obtain and maintain access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) when mission requirements dictate.
Familiarity with working in classified environments and/or classified materials.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of F‑35 Program Security requirements.
Basic awareness of DoD Manual 5205.7, Volume 4, DoD Manual 5200.01 Volumes 1‑3, ICD 705, and associated Technical Specifications.
Experience working on Special Access Programs.
Prior experience with GSA containers and document control.
Experience working in a dynamic military environment and ability to interact with senior USMC officers, enlisted personnel, and key government stakeholders.
Comfort with autonomous decision‑making in a military flying operations environment.
Previous military leadership and decision‑making roles beneficial.
Familiarization with Defense Information Security System (DISS).
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
Access Control and Physical Security experience and ability to perform assigned tasks.
Security Clearance Requirements
This position requires a government security clearance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens. Clearance level: Top Secret with investigation or CV date within 5 years.
Work Schedules
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules. The position requires onsite full‑time work at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: Non‑standard 40‑hour work week as assigned by leader.
