
Parts Room Technician

Summary
The Parts Room Technician ensures appropriate stocking of materials and maintaining an organized Parts Room to best serve our internal and external customers.
Check-in all shipments on a day-to-day basis. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy.
Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. (tag & bin all materials & put away accordingly)
Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials.
Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter.
Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes.
Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications.
Deliver or route materials to internal departments.
Contact carrier representatives to for arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
Maintain tidy Parts Room & material aisles clear of inventory & waste.
Rekey locks & be able to set up key systems (Master & Grand Master).
Schedule truck maintenance and repairs.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Maintain a valid Driver’s license to operate the company’s vehicle.
Ability to regularly lift and /or carry more than 75 lbs.
Ability to perform physical tasks for extended periods, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing and pulling.
Previous experience with shipping & receiving or parts, a plus.
Ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to work independently or in a team.
Forklift certification. (Required- will train).
The work environment will be in an office/shop/warehouse environment.
