Responsibilities
As a Commercial Lending Assistant, you will provide administrative and operational support for an assigned team of Commercial Lenders. This includes maintaining confidentiality and superior customer service; gathering financial and loan data requirements; preparing electronic loan file documentation for consumer and commercial loans; conducting research; coordinating services with internal business units and third‑party providers; and preparing memos, correspondence and other documents as necessary.

You will assist in the management of banker workflow and pipeline management, including early‑stage loan processing duties: communicating with borrowers to obtain required personal and financial items; inputting borrower and loan details into various platforms; ordering third‑party services and verifications; and tracking loan progress to ensure deadlines are met.

Greet customers in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner, including responding to inquiries, requests and complaints in person, by telephone, and email correspondence with professionalism and accuracy. Navigate bank systems to provide customers with account‑specific details and assist in processing financial transfers, transactions, loan payments, etc. Facilitate management and tracking of Commercial and Residential Construction projects to ensure compliance and timely availability of funds. Become familiar with commercial and consumer regulatory requirements to ensure compliance. Review loan documents for accuracy. Review loan files to ensure completeness and that all collateral has been secured properly.

Perform special projects as requested. Complete unplanned tasks that often require a very quick turnaround with accurate delivery and results. Collaborate successfully with other staff to complete high‑priority assignments and coordinate work efforts. Navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize search tools to find information. Adhere to all bank policies and procedures, federal and state employment laws and regulations.

Minimum Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

1+ years of financial services experience.

2+ years of customer service or sales experience.

Experience working successfully and independently in a dynamic and challenging work environment that requires strong multitasking abilities to meet aggressive deadlines.

Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation.

Extreme level of confidentiality.
