Dragonfly Pond Works - ILM is seeking a skilled, dependable, and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician to support the upkeep and repair of company vehicles, equipment, and tools. This role is essential to ensuring field crews operate safely and efficiently by maintaining a high level of equipment readiness.
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and executing preventative maintenance across a diverse fleet including trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and specialized aquatic and environmental machinery. Work will be performed in both shop and field environments, requiring adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Occasional extended hours and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Requirements
Proven mechanical experience with trucks, trailers, and/or heavy equipment
Strong understanding of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems
Ability to diagnose and repair issues efficiently and accurately
Experience with preventative maintenance programs and equipment tracking
Familiarity with hand tools, diagnostic tools, and shop equipment
Strong organizational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
Professional attitude and commitment to supporting team operations
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on company vehicles, trailers, and equipment
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues and implement effective solutions
Conduct preventative maintenance to reduce downtime and extend equipment life
Inspect equipment regularly and identify potential issues before failure occurs
Maintain accurate service records, including daily updates, parts usage, and repair logs
Coordinate with the Maintenance Manager on repair priorities and scheduling
Order parts and manage inventory of maintenance supplies as needed
Support field crews with on‑site repairs when necessary
Ensure all equipment is safe, compliant, and ready for deployment
Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient shop and yard
Essential Job Functions
Report to work on time and prepared to complete assigned tasks
Safely operate tools, machinery, and company vehicles
Troubleshoot and repair equipment with minimal supervision
Accurately document maintenance activities, including daily logs and photo documentation when required
Lift, move, and carry materials up to 50 lbs. without assistance
Perform physical labor including standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined or outdoor environments
Work in varying weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors
