AWS is seeking a driven and talented Business Operations Lead to play a critical role on our Worldwide Public Sector Business Operations team. This role serves as a key coordination point between the WWPS government sales teams, finance teams, and AWS technical organizations, and is responsible for driving scalable operational mechanisms, creating strategic narratives, and running the operational cadence to drive growth in secure government regions. Data analysis is at the core of Amazon’s culture, and your work will have a direct impact on decision‑making and strategy for our organization. Close partnership with leaders and organizations outside of your immediate team will be necessary, as you will compile data and information that will influence decisions at the most senior levels in Amazon. The successful candidate will have excellent analytical abilities, strong business acumen and judgement, and superior communication skills, along with a passion for pursuing operational excellence. This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of Worldwide Public Sector financial reporting and analysis for a Business vertical ensuring timeliness, completeness and accuracy of reporting
Develop metrics and reports to manage sales pipeline, billed revenue and quota attainment
Develop performance reviews that encompass key metrics to be reviewed with senior Sales Directors and WWPS leadership team in order to drive and manage the business
Build with GenAI to streamline existing processes
Coordinate with corporate teams to influence roadmap for enhanced business intelligence and CRM tools to support the business
Work with territory planning, segmentation & quota development
Assist in the creation and management of sales compensation plans, headcount tracking, and management
Help WWPS Operations balance short‑term tactical goals with long‑term strategies
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
5+ years of experience in the areas of finance, business management and/or sales operations in mid‑to‑large scale global Sales Organization
3+ years of experience with the development and implementation of systems, processes and tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, and forecasting
3+ years of experience using BI tools, CRM software, and excel
Candidate must be a US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Experience presenting to senior leadership
Master's degree or equivalent
Familiarity with Public Sector and knowledge of government acquisitions along with applicable mandates and policies that govern the process
Exhibits sound business judgment, strong analytical skills, and a proven track record of taking ownership and leading data‑driven analyses to support and grow a business
