Skilled Laborer-Electrical
Position Summary:
Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of the electrical systems at jobsites while maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient construction site and supporting the overall project.
Responsibilities
Promote and comply with all Company and safety policies and procedures
Complete all required Safety documentation
Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
Reading technical diagrams and blueprints
Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Assist in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical issues, ensuring system integrity and functionality
Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, saws, and electrical testing equipment
Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
Identify and repair breakdowns, faults and malfunctions.
Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using handtools and power tools
Collaborate with electricians to complete installations according to project specifications and timelines
May be required to travel to different jobsites on limited notice
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Requirements
Education and Work Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and twelve months of related experience in construction
Or equivalent combination of training and experience
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the company’s Zero Injury principles
Proficient with electrical tools and equipment, including power drills, saws, meters and testing devices
In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and installation techniques
Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form
Be able to work within precise standards of accuracy and follow set procedures and standards
Working Environment
Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; and extreme heat
Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and vibration
Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
