
Part Time Italian Course Facilitator

Bunker Hill Community College's Workforce & Economic Development division seeks a qualified Italian Course Facilitator to teach a short-term course designed for adult learners. This class focuses on practical Italian communication skills for travelers, including conversational basics, cultural norms, and real‑life scenarios. Reporting to the Director of the Language Institute, the course facilitator will create engaging and accessible lessons that meet the needs of diverse students seeking to acquire Italian language skills applicable within the context of travel and social interactions in Italy.
Responsibilities
Deliver high quality instruction for an 8 week, 2 hours per week Italian course.
Design lesson plans, materials, and activities that support practical language learning and active student participation.
Use varied teaching methods to address different learning styles and levels of proficiency.
Maintain accurate attendance and participation records.
Communicate effectively with program administration regarding course needs and student progress.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Italian, Education, Linguistics, or a related field preferred.
Experience teaching Italian or language courses to adult learners, especially conversational or practical language topics.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt instruction to meet learner needs.
Comfortable using classroom technology and digital tools for instruction and communication.
Additional Information
Salary: $45.00 an hour at 2 hours a week for 8 weeks. Part‑Time Non‑Benefited position. Posting Closing Date: September 11, 2026.
