Position Overview
We are seeking
3 skilled Punch List Technicians
to support the final completion phase of new construction homes.
This is a
temporary-to-hire position, with expected conversion to regular full-time after 90 days . In this role, you will work directly under a site foreman, receiving a daily punch list of items that need to be corrected or completed before homes are handed over to homeowners. You'll be the last set of hands on each home — your work directly determines the quality the buyer experiences on move-in day.
This position involves
executing daily punch lists, performing finishing repairs, and ensuring homes meet quality standards before handover to homeowners . The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, works well independently, and has hands-on experience across multiple construction trades.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and execute daily punch lists from the site foreman covering minor repairs and finishing tasks
Perform paint touch-ups and full wall/trim repaints as needed
Patch and repair drywall — small holes, nail pops, dings, seams, and texture matching
Complete light carpentry tasks such as trim adjustments, door/hardware corrections, and minor fixture installations
Address items identified during pre-closing walkthroughs that do not meet quality standards
Move efficiently from home to home across active construction communities
Communicate clearly with the foreman regarding task status, material needs, and any issues discovered
Maintain a clean and safe work environment at each home
Document completed items accurately as required
Qualifications
Required:
Hands-on experience in residential construction, remodeling, or a related trade
Proficiency in at least two of the following: painting, drywall repair, light carpentry, or basic fixture installation
Ability to work independently and manage time across multiple homes in a single day
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
Physical ability to perform the duties of the role (lifting, kneeling, climbing ladders, etc.)
Reliable transportation to job sites
Ability to communicate via phone/text and follow written and verbal task lists
Preferred:
Prior experience in punch list work on new construction homes
Familiarity with production home building environments
Basic knowledge of a broad range of trades (painting, drywall, carpentry, caulking, cleaning)
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Rate:
$20/hr – $22/hr, commensurate with experience
Benefits:
PTO
Additional:
Overtime opportunities available during the week and on weekends
