Secondary Math with Coaching Assignments Possible (HS Asst Football/Assistant or Head Baseball)
Prescott High School, Prescott, Arkansas seeks a full‑time Secondary Math Teacher to provide high‑quality instruction and potentially coach high‑school football or baseball teams. The role requires adherence to district policies, student IEPs, and integrity in professional conduct.
Responsibilities
Exhibit accurate knowledge of content and pedagogy.
Exhibit knowledge of students’ individual development, needs, skills, and knowledge.
Select and use appropriate resources.
Adhere to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and 504 plan.
Build and design coherent lessons, activities, and assessments of rigor that match standards of learning.
Create an environment of respect and rapport and establish a positive culture for learning.
Exhibit effective classroom procedures with minimal loss of instruction.
Effectively supervise students and manage behavior.
Communicate effectively with students, parents/guardians, other teachers, counselors, and administrators to resolve behavioral and academic problems.
Exhibit high expectations and deliver lessons effectively.
Demonstrate effective questioning, discussion techniques, and flexible responsiveness to student learning.
Provide timely, consistent, and high‑quality feedback to students.
Use assessments during instruction.
Reflect on teaching and adjust for greater understanding and student achievement.
Maintain accurate records as required by law, district policies, and regulations.
Manage classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
Communicate with families about children’s progress and needs.
Contribute to the professional community and pursue professional growth.
Exhibit professionalism with students, staff, and parents; report suspected child endangerment, neglect, or abuse.
Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students.
Attend professional meetings, conferences, and development sessions.
Assist in supervision duties (library, hall, cafeteria, bus loading).
Sponsor extracurricular activities such as clubs, student organizations, and academic contests.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or administrators.
