Job Summary
The Perry Local Schools desires to employ a math teacher in grades 7‑12 with a qualified Ohio teaching license. The successful candidate will plan and provide daily math instruction to meet the differentiated needs of today's learners, participate weekly in the math department PLC to continually improve instruction and assessment, and meet student learning needs. The candidate will possess strong relationship skills, develop a standards‑based learning culture, and implement research‑based instructional strategies informed by Ohio Learning Standards and formative instruction practices.
Responsibilities
Provide daily math instruction for grades 7‑12; facilitate authentic problem‑solving that bridges content to real‑world work; implement formative assessment practices; differentiate instruction; use technology to solve learning issues; collaborate with the math department.
Qualifications
Minimum required qualifications:
Valid certification/licensure for high school students in High School 7‑12 – Mathematics
Adolescent to Young Adult 7‑12 – Mathematics/Integrated Mathematics
Advocate for student‑centered learning
Proficiency in formative assessment practices, differentiation, and technology integration
Strong relationship skills and ability to develop a standards‑based learning culture
Professional Learning Culture
Excellent school district with state‑of‑the‑art facilities. Employment terms and conditions shall be in accordance with the agreement between the Perry Classroom Teachers Association and the Perry Board of Education, as applicable.
