Job Summary
The Middle School Band Director is responsible for directing and managing the middle school band program.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Plans, coordinates, and implements a comprehensive band program that enhances students' musical abilities and appreciation. The Band Director will also be involved in performances, competitions, and school events, ensuring a high standard of excellence and fostering a love for music among students.
Conduct rehearsals and prepare students for performances, competitions, and assessments.
Organize and conduct band performances, including concerts, marching band shows, pep band events, and other school-related performances.
Plan and oversee band trips and tours.
Identify and encourage talented students to pursue further musical opportunities.
Collaborate with school administration and other faculty members to support the overall educational mission of the school.
Communicate with parents and guardians regarding student progress and upcoming events.
Performs other duties as assigned by the administration.
