190‑day position. Base salary: $20,932 (based on education and teacher assistant experience).
Qualifications
Minimum of sixty (60) academic credit hours from an accredited institution of higher education.
Or an associate degree (or higher).
Or high school diploma or equivalent and readiness to work credentials.
Certification: WIN assessment level 3 or higher, or ParaPro passing score (minimum 456).
Montessori certification/knowledge preferred; willingness to learn Montessori approach required.
Duties and Responsibilities
Provide classroom teaching assistance.
Supervise students at all times.
Provide daily care of students (e.g. toileting, diapering, feeding) as needed.
Adhere to district dress code policies.
Maintain required confidentiality regarding students and school records.
Positively support all facets of student growth and development.
Be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Application Requirements
Complete application packet must be submitted online prior to closing date. All of the following must be included:
Classified Employment Application.
Three (3) Classified Employment References.
Copy of qualifying credentials: (a) college degree or transcript showing sixty credit hours, or (b) high school diploma or equivalent with WIN or ParaPro.
For DCSD Employees: “Request to Interview for Transfer” form.
It is the responsibility of the applicant to ensure all required documents are submitted before the deadline; incomplete applications will render the applicant ineligible.
