The Opportunity
Lonestar Forklift is looking for a
Rental Delivery Driver
to join our team in
Houston, Texas . In this role, you will be responsible for completing local deliveries to Leavitt’s service, sales, and rental customers.
As the Rental Delivery Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
Receive inbound requests from the Freight Coordinator
Handle documentation relating to equipment transport
Load and unload equipment onto transport truck and trailer and transport equipment to and from various locations
Instruct customer equipment operators on basic operation
Relay relevant customer feedback onto sales and operational contacts
Complete rental check-ins and check-outs
Fuel and park rental equipment
Complete daily vehicle inspections and communicate with the Vehicle Fleet Coordinator regarding maintenance
Ensure that all registrations, insurance, and CIV’s are up to date
Required Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:
Completion of high school diploma
Valid Class A CDL driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract
Minimum 5 years of driving experience
Prior experience operating heavy machinery and/or related industry knowledge is an asset
Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel
Ability to work effectively independently
Required availability: Monday through Friday day shifts
