Plan and deliver physical education instruction for students in grades 4‑6
Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with state physical education and health standards
Teach a variety of activities, including team sports, individual fitness, lifetime activities, and wellness concepts
Promote physical fitness, coordination, teamwork, and sportsmanshipAdapt instruction and activities to meet the diverse needs and abilities of all students
Assess and evaluate student performance, participation, and progress
Maintain a safe and structured learning environment, including proper use of equipment and facilities
Incorporate health, nutrition, and wellness concepts into instruction as appropriate
Collaborate with staff to support school‑wide initiatives and student development
Supervise students in locker rooms, gymnasiums, and outdoor activity spaces
Maintain and organize physical education equipment and facilities
Communicate with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and expectations
Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Strong knowledge of physical education principles, fitness concepts, and health education
Understanding of state standards and student assessment practices
Ability to plan and deliver instruction that meets diverse learning needs

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Education and a relevant instructional subject area(s).
License:
Licensed in the State of Minnesota in the instructional area.
Experience:
Minimum completion of an assigned internship/practice teaching experience and a degree program.
