
Metro Parks - SW7/Rec Ctr Aide - disABILITIES

This position assists with the daily operations of the Metro Parks’ disABILITIES Programs located at the Centennial Sportsplex & Satellite Locations (Coleman, Bellevue & Madison Community Centers) and in supervision of the disABILITIES Program participants. Typical duties include:
Providing and maintaining a safe working environment.
Supervision of Adult individuals with a variety of intellectual and developmental disabilities including, but not limited to, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, & Epilepsy.
Enforcing all rules of the Metro Parks’ disABILITIES Program and facilities where programs are held.
Assisting and leading sport and recreation-based activities including, but not limited to, swimming, outdoor games, arts & crafts, and various sports.
Carrying out all written and verbal instructions and other related duties as requested.
Documenting Program Attendance as needed.
Submitting timely, clear, and accurate program reports as needed.
Administering basic first aid in cases of minor injury.
Performing light housekeeping duties to ensure the cleanliness of the facility.
Attending meetings, trainings, and workshops as needed.
Work hours vary and include evenings, weekends & holidays. Up to 30 hours per week. Rate of pay is $18.00 per hour. Position is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. (12 positions available)
