
Night RN House Supervisor - Full-Time 3rd Shift

Lead the night shift as the RN House Supervisor, providing clinical leadership and operational oversight to ensure exceptional care across the campus!
In this role, you will support nursing teams, respond to clinical needs, and help maintain a safe, high-quality environment for residents and staff during overnight hours. Position Summary
The Night RN House Supervisor provides clinical leadership and operational oversight during overnight hours to ensure safe, high-quality resident care and effective team coordination. This role serves as the primary clinical resource for nursing staff during the shift, supports staffing needs, leads response during emergencies, and ensures building safety and operational continuity overnight.
The Night RN House Supervisor promotes a culture aligned with Nye’s mission, vision, and values while supporting nurses and team members in delivering exceptional care.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership
Provide clinical guidance and support to floor nurses during the shift.
Assist with clinical decision-making and problem-solving.
Serve as a resource for resident care concerns and clinical questions.
Ensure nursing care follows facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
Staffing Coordination
Monitor staffing levels throughout the shift.
Communicate staffing needs with the DON as needed.
Assist with coverage solutions, including contacting staff to come in early, stay late, or fill open shifts when necessary.
Emergency Response
Serve as the lead staff member during emergencies on the shift.
Coordinate response efforts and ensure proper protocols are followed.
Provide leadership and direction to team members during urgent situations.
Safety and Building Oversight
Ensure the building is secure during overnight hours.
Confirm exterior doors are locked and safety procedures are followed.
Monitor overall facility safety during walking rounds.
Shift Communication
Complete and send a Night House Supervisor End-of-Shift Report email to the DON summarizing key updates from the shift.
Qualifications
Current RN license in good standing in the state of Nebraska.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to respond calmly and effectively during emergencies.
Demonstrated clinical competence and professionalism.
Physical Requirements
Ability to walk throughout the facility during rounds.
Ability to respond quickly to resident or staff needs.
Ability to lift, push, or assist residents as needed according to facility policy.
